About me

P. Leighton Jones
MManipTher Bsc(Hons) MCSP HCPC

I was born and raised in Carmarthen and went to university in Cardiff where I now live, therefore I have a good knowledge of both areas and their people.

I have worked as a physiotherapist since qualifying from the University of Wales, College of Medicine in Cardiff in 1997. Presently I am working with international sports teams and in occupational health settings, as well as at the clinics, where I work with complex and challenging spinal conditions as well as sporting injuries and workplace/postural related conditions.

In 2002 I undertook the world-renowned Master of Manipulative Therapy Course in Perth, Australia, widely thought of as one of the best postgraduate courses for physiotherapists. During this course I was taught by some of the most highly regarded physiotherapists in the world, learnt many cutting edge techniques and approaches, and was provided with a comprehensive understanding of the best treatments available to physiotherapists today.

I have been involved in sports injury management since qualifying, working with the Great Britain Bobsleigh Team, the Welsh Ladies Hockey Team, several rugby teams, including the Celtic Warriors regional side and I am currently working with Great Britain Ultimate Frisbee.

I presented the research I undertook as part of my Masters course in the World Physiotherapy Congress 2003 in Barcelona, this research was published in a peer- reviewed journal, Manual Therapy in 2005.
