About me
I am an alumnus of the University of Teesside and graduated with First-Class Honours in Physiotherapy in 1995, being the only student to be awarded this grade that year.
I gained my initial post-graduate experience locally at Lincoln County Hospital acquiring expertise in Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Intensive Care, General and Respiratory Medicine, Rheumatology and Neurology before choosing to specialise in Musculoskeletal Outpatients and Sports Injuries.
Following promotion to senior level in the NHS and having gained a postgraduate qualification in One-to-One Personal Training, I worked extensively throughout the UK in a diversified range of freelance consultancy roles in the public, private, legal, sporting professional, wheelchair services, educational, and military sectors.
I opened my clinic, Lakeside Physiotherapy, in 2006 in order to provide a different and more exclusive treatment experience for independent clients in Lincoln. It is an environment in which a classical ‘hands-on’ model of therapy is combined with evidence-based practise, education, and client empowerment to expedite recovery, achieve optimal results, and prevent recurrence.
I gained a Masters Degree in Health Ergonomics from the University of Derby in 2010. Now, with over a decade worth of experience in Occupational Health and Ergonomics, I provide specialist assessment, management and advice regarding prevention of injury that leads to pain, disability and lost productivity in the workplace.
My skills are widely acknowledged in the specialist field of ergonomics in high-intensity VDU-graphical focused environments in particular, and I am retained as a provider of such assessment to Her Majesty’s Land Registry throughout England and Wales.
As of 2016 I am registered with MedCo, the Ministry of Justice's new system to facilitate the sourcing of medical reports in soft tissue injury claims, to produce initial fixed cost medical reports in soft tissue injury claims following RTAs.
