About us
Our team of Chartered Physiotherapists at Woodlands Physiotherapy & Sports Injuries Clinic have a vast array of experience, having worked in sporting fields at local, national and international levels, industry (including undertaking ergonomic assessments and treating 'workplace injuries'), general physiotherapy practices and the NHS. This enables us to provide the high quality service we have become recognised for.
Sara Blackhurst was Physiotherapist at the Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 Paralympic Games, and the Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games. She was also physiotherapist to the Great Britain Men's Wheelchair Basketball and Great Britain Visually Impaired Judo teams. She has experience with multiple sports, both able-bodied and disabled. Additionally, Sara has worked in NHS hospitals, Industry and general physiotherapy clinics, treating non-sporting injuries and disorders.
The other Physiotherapists working in the practice are all highly experienced, also having wide ranging skills and experiences in both the sporting and non-sporting fields. Some of them have worked with both recreational and elite sportsmen and women, in sports including tennis, rugby, swimming and gymnastics. Some of the Physiotherapists who work in the practice also work as Clinical Specialists in the NHS, and are qualified in administering injections.
