About me
Nicola Harris is one of the leading providers of vestibular rehabilitation in the United Kingdom. Nicola is a member of the multi-disciplinary team located at the NHS Regional Balance Centre for the South East, which is recognised as a centre of excellence in the management of a complex balance disorders with a national referral base. Nicola's role in the team is to advise on both the assessment and treatment of those impacted by balance disorders.
In 2003, Nicola established a London based private practice treating balance patients referred by Neurologists, Neuro-otologists, ENT consultants, and General Practitioners.
Nicola trained and qualified at St. Mary’s Hospital, London. Nicola then spent ten years working in rehabilitation in a number of the leading London teaching hospitals including St. Thomas's and The Royal Free. Nicola successfully completed a post graduate diploma in rehabilitation. In 2002, Nicola began to treat patients with vestibular disorders, and in 2003 took the decision to specialise solely in vestibular rehabilitation.
Nicola was one of the founding members of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists with an Interest in Vestibular Rehabilitation (ACPVR). Nicola is a regular speaker at conferences on the management of balance disorders and is a member of the faculty on The Basic and Advanced Vestibular Rehabilitation Courses for Physiotherapists.
