About me

Having qualified in 1985 I spent 2 years on a junior physio rotation in a NHS hospital in North London. I was appointed as Club Physiotherapist for the MCC & Middlesex CCC at Lords Cricket Ground (1987-1990) and completed four seasons whilst still playing amateur rugby for Wasps Rugby Club (1984-1990).
I resigned my post at Lords to enter the 1 year full-time postgraduate course in Manipulative Physiotherapy at Curtin University in Western Australia in 1991. I returned to the UK to take up the post of Club Physio to Essex CCC in 1992 where I worked until 2003. I spent 12 glorious and successful years there where the team won 5 trophies. I opted not to take up the offer of a full-time post and resigned to focus on my private practice.
I now practice full-time in Chelmsford with a weekly Tuesday afternoon clinic at Felsted School. and Thurs eve clinic for members and players of Chelmsford Rugby Club.
I am the UK convenor for the annual Cognitive Functional Therapy 3 day course for health workers on behalf of Prof Peter O'Sullivan, the world leader in treatment of complex spinal and pelvic pain.
For many years my clinical ethos is to offer patients high value effective treatment by identifying and treating the cause of their problems so that their signs and symptoms resolve quickly. I do not use electrical machines and restrict passive treatments to an absolute minimum. Its vital that patients have an understanding of their problem and given the tools to treat themselves and that is what they all receive in my clinic.
