About me

Jane Hirst trained at Manchester University and has been counselling in full time employment since 1995 with the NHS. She has also been employed by the Lancashire Constabulary on a sessional basis since 1995 to the present day. More recently she was invited to be a welfare consultant for the Police Firearms Associaton.

Jane is an EMDR (Eye Movement, Desensitization and Reprocessing) accredited practitioner, which is part of the NICE guidelines for recent and developmental trauma. She has also been asked by the EMDR Board to be the national representative for special interest groups in the UK and Ireland.

Jane Hirst also has a small private practice and is able to see self-funding and BUPA insured patients.
