About me

I have worked for over 25 years in the NHS and my interest and expertise in Eating Disorders has developed in the last 16 years. I set up a Dietetic service to GP’s in the Central London area and it was during this time that I began to see patients with Eating Disorders. From then on I began to specialise in this area treating both young people (and their Families) and Adults with a range of Eating Disorders as well as Obesity. I have worked in Specialist Adult and Adolescent Eating Disorders services in London, Surrey and Hampshire .I continue to work in the NHS as the Dietitian in a Specialist London based Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders Service.

My interest and training in Sports Nutrition initially lead me to work privately with a number of athletes (some of whom were Elite). In my work in the field of Eating Disorders and Obesity I have been able to draw from this expertise. I have developed my private work in this area and regularly see both Adults and young people on an outpatient basis in the London/Surrey area.I also have extensive experience working with inpatients having been the Dietitian in a private London based Inpatient Eating Disorders Unit.

With training in Counselling skills and basic Systemic Practice, I have a psychological approach to treating clients and have developed my role working in a variety of multidisciplinary teams.

Whilst working singlehandedly in my private work ,I am able to refer to a range of experienced Therapists and Medical Personnel if appropriate (in agreement with the Client)

Areas of interest

Eating Disorders (Anorexia nervosa,Bulimia nervosa,Binge Eating Disorder,Atypical variants of these) in both young people and Adults;
