About me
From the outside you are managing. Inside, the worry does not switch off, sleep is broken, and you have not said any of it out loud.
I am a highly experienced Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with over 25 years of clinical practice, originally trained in Scotland. I bring a strong foundation in evidence-based psychological therapies, with extensive experience across both public and private healthcare settings.
I began my career within NHS Scotland, working in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Following my relocation to London, I continued my clinical work within NHS Trusts and private hospitals. For the past fifteen years, I have been based in private practice in the City of London, working extensively with corporate organisations, namely banks and law firms, and offering clinical supervision to other therapists.
I have undertaken further specialist training in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), coaching, and bereavement counselling. This enables me to adopt a flexible, integrative approach, tailoring my work to meet the individual needs of each client.
I am known for my thoughtful, client-centred approach, combining clinical expertise with practical strategies to support meaningful and lasting change. I am a compassionate therapist who prioritises my clients' comfort, creating a safe and supportive space where they feel able to open up.
I hold an MSc in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (Distinction) and an MSc in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy. I am a member of the Royal Society of Medicine.
My practice, SERENITA Psychotherapy Practice, offers sessions online across the UK, with in-person sessions available at London Bridge. I work with adults and adolescents.
