About me
David is a Registered Osteopath and international lecturer with a master's degree in sports injuries and an honours degree in physical education. He is a founder member of the Osteopathic Sports Care Association and with over 30 years' experience working extensively at professional and elite level sports, he has developed an acknowledged reputation as one of the leading osteopaths working within Sports Medicine.
Having helped develop the MSc in Osteopathic Sports Care at Leeds Metropolitan University, he has also guest lectured at various conferences and associations including the Lawn Tennis Association, the Royal Society of Medicine and the Football Association, and has travelled to Japan to help prepare the Japanese Osteopaths for Tokyo 2020.
Currently involved as Consultant Osteopath to the LTA, David has also held several high level sporting posts including Head of Sports Medicine at London Scottish Rugby Club, Consultant Osteopath to a number of Premiership football clubs including Tottenham Hotspur, Watford and Fulham as well as the England Cricket Team and ATP Masters Tennis. David was furthermore a member of the GB Paralympic Medical Team in Sydney (2000) and Athens (2004) and part of the Core Medical team of osteopaths at the London Olympics in 2012.
His clinical experience with both elite and amateur level athletes has led to David becoming one of only four osteopaths in the UK to be awarded a fellowship of the Osteopathic Sports Care Association for his commitment to furthering osteopathic Sports care in both the academic and sporting arenas.
He has also been a Consultant Osteopath for BUPA Wellness Musculoskeletal Medicine for over 25 years working alongside leading experts in Sports and Orthopaedic Medicine, often managing complex musculoskeletal cases including chronic back and neck pain and occupational disorders and currently works as a consultant osteopath for Goldman Sachs.
A former professional rugby player with London Scottish, David captained Scotland at the inaugural World Cup 7s at Murrayfield in 1993.
