About me

My career began in 1976 when I first trained as a Relate Counsellor, then called Marriage Guidance. Since that time I have done several other forms of training, including : Counselling Psychology, Cognitive Analytic Psychotherapy as well as numerous other shorter term courses in Transactional Analysis, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy to name a few. In my role as an eating disorder specialist in the NHS I did some additional training in Motivational Enhancement Therapy while working with Bulimia Nervosa, Anorexia and binge-eating disorders. While working with these clients I also saw family groups. After working in the NHS for seven years I then went into private practice. This was in 2000. I now work exclusively in private practice where I provide individual sessions as well as sessions for couples. I occasionally also see family groups.
