About me

Martin registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) in 2000 as a Neurolinguistic Psychotherapist using Neurolinguistic Psychotherapy (NLPt) which is a therapeutic application of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).

In 2002 he completed the Post Graduate Certificate in the Supervision of Counsellors course at the University of Birmingham to develop his skills as a supervisor.
Martin is Certified as an NLP Trainer through the INLPTA.

He provides psychotherapy, counselling, coaching and supervision to individuals and couples at his practice in West London and is involved in several psychotherapy / counselling and supervision training programmes. He has provided supervision services to the community based Bereavement Services for Hounslow and for the, now closed, 7th July Assistance Centre for people affected by terrorist activities and natural disasters.

During his 11 years in the NHS he piloted the Primary Health Care Team development programme in the South West Thames region as well developing and implementing a Health Promotion Officers' training programme. He has worked as a senior manager at both Regional and District level, has been responsible for commissioning new services and leading on the development of drug & alcohol and HIV / AIDS and sexual health services.

Taking the first call on the Terrence Higgins Trust’s AIDS helpline in 1984 he has worked extensively with the voluntary sector.

Between 2002 & 2004 Martin was the vice Chair and then Chair of an organisation that sought to maintain standards and develop the skills of Neurolinguistic Psychotherapists and Counsellors, the Neurolinguistic Psychotherapy and Counselling Association. He has been a member of the Training Standards Committee, a past Co-Chair of the Experiential Constructivist Section (now Constructivist College) and past member of the Registration Committee of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.
