About me
Hi, I'm Paul. I am relaxed, confidential, friendly, knowledgeable, highly skilled and totally committed to assisting people in overcoming their difficulties.
I'm a qualified and Registered Nurse since 1989, I completed my 18 month, full-time, CBT PG Dip training in 1995 under the world respected Prof Isaac Marks at the Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College, London. Although already trained in EMDR for 20 years, I repeated this in its entirety in 2018,as well as undertaking the full ACT Training.
I've practiced in the NHS in the University Sectors. I've practiced privately since 1995 and have assessed / treated over 1000 people from all walks of life and with all sorts of conditions (PTSD, Adjustment, Depression, OCD & BDD, Agora, Social, Blood-Injury and Specific Phobias, etc.). I am happy to see clients with complex issues and have a reputation for being very good in understanding and helping those with complex needs.
I'm committed to "evidence based practice" and providing people with what we know actually works.I [provide CBT, as well as EMDR and ACT (EMDR and ACT are categorised as "third wave CBT's).
I have over 100 publications of different sorts, and two books, one on OCD.
