About me
I qualified from the British School of Osteopathy (now the University College of Osteopathy) in 1993. Since then, I have been practising from Dolphin Square where I developed Dolphin Square Osteopaths at Calmer Clinics based on an integrated approach to healthcare. I have a wide range of clinical interests from paediatrics and cranial osteopathy to sports injuries (I was one of 25 Osteopaths selected to work in the Olympic athletes' village polyclinic at London 2012). On my non-clinic days I am a Teaching Fellow at the UCO. I also have had roles at the General Osteopathic Council serving as practice mentor, revalidation assessor, fitness to practice assessor and reviewer of non-UK qualifications. I am currently serving as a registrant member of the (GOsC) Professional Conduct Committee and as a lay-panellist of the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service. I am a fellow of the Higher Education Academy and of the Royal Society for the Promotion of Health as well as being a recognised practitioner by the British Association for Performing Arts Medicine and as an Associated Practitioner with Arthritis Action. I am an active member of the Osteopathic Sports Care Association and Osteopathic Performing Arts Care Association. I have lectured to various patient and clinician groups nationally and internationally and publications included in professional and popular media outlets. I was selected to complete a course in Leadership with the Osteopathic Development Group and am involved with work to promote the integration of osteopathic services within the NHS.
