About me
Michael has been treating patients for forty-six years and during this time has gained a wealth of experience treating patients, young, old, and in between, who come to him from all over the UK and overseas.
He qualified as a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic (AECC) as the "Best all-round Student" of 1977 after four years of full-time study in Bournemouth. He later returned to lecture at the College for four years.
Michael has travelled widely through the Chiropractic world, attending conferences in USA, Europe, South America and the Far East. He contributed to the Chiropractic Centenary Celebrations of 1995 in Washington and to the 2002 World Federation of Chiropractic conference on Education in San Paulo.
He has been an influential leader of his profession, lecturing at home and abroad, and his appointments have included terms as British Chiropractic Association President and Chairman of the General Chiropractic Council, the body that regulates the profession in the UK.
During his time as GCC chairman he was appointed as a founding member to the Council for Healthcare Regulatory Excellence, now the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care, created under the NHS Reform Act (2002) to promote excellence in regulation and to protect the public interest.
