About me
I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 35 years post-qualification experience, and over 30 of these as a consultant.
My NHS practice is in the field of Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Services for Children and Young People, and includes extensive experience also of Child Development, Paediatrics, and Neurodevelopmental Conditions - Autism and/ or ADHD - working currently in the Neurodevelopmental Diagnostic Service in Buckinghamshire c/o Oxford NHS Foundation Trust.
My private practice experience includes work across the entire age range - children, adolescents, working age adults, and older adults - presenting with a range of symptoms and issues; and working with reference to a number of treatment options and approaches. I work with individuals, couples, and families. I offer initial consultation at which your concerns are discussed in some detail, and at which I will provide on the spot advice as to the options you may wish to consider, with a view to agreeing any further follow up from there. I draw on a broad range of different techniques * and therapeutic approaches, using these flexibly and in a focused and supportive way.
(* these techniques reference systemic and family therapy, cognitive analytic therapy, behavioural therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, cognitive analytical therapy, integrative psychotherapy)
