About me

I have been running a lymphoedema clinic for the last 14 years mostly treating women who have developed lymphoedema following breast cancer surgery, but also other secondary lyphoedemas caused by other cancers i.e. endometrial, cervical, testicular or ovarian. Surgical procedures such as heart bypass surgery, whereby the leg has had the vein stripped reducing the capacity of the venous/lymph systems, or hip replacement surgery have also been treated at this clinic. In addition to running my clinic and treating patients with lymphoedema I am currently involved in an NHS trial with the Breast Dept at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. This involves treating patients post surgery with MLD and compression with the aim of preventing lymphoedema. I have worked closely with the team to produce a cost effective treatment plan which we are hoping, should the results be positive, could be approved by NICE in the future.
