About me
Talking to someone can make a real difference. Simply having the opportunity to feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgement can be incredibly powerful. I offer a warm, compassionate, and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly, at a pace that feels right for you.
I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, whether you are experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, loss, trauma, stress, low self-esteem, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges. Whatever has brought you to therapy, my aim is to provide a safe and trusting environment where you feel comfortable to be yourself.
At the heart of my work is the belief that every individual is unique. There is no one size fits all approach to therapy, which is why I tailor each session to meet your specific needs, goals, and circumstances. I work creatively from a psychodynamic perspective, integrating a range of therapeutic tools and techniques where appropriate to support your personal journey. This flexible approach allows us to work together in a way that feels meaningful and effective for you.
Psychodynamic therapy is based on the understanding that our early relationships and formative experiences can have a lasting influence on the way we think, feel, behave, and relate to others in adulthood. Together, we can gently explore whether there are any unconscious patterns, unresolved experiences, or deep-rooted beliefs that may be impacting your life today. By developing greater self-awareness and understanding, it is often possible to make lasting changes, improve relationships, and find healthier ways of coping.
My role is not to tell you what to do or to judge your experiences, but to walk alongside you with empathy, curiosity, and respect as you gain a deeper understanding of yourself. Therapy offers a space to reflect, process difficult emotions, and develop the confidence to move forward in a way that feels authentic to you.
I offer sessions in person, online, or by telephone, providing flexibility to suit your lifestyle and preferences. Whether you are seeking short-term support for a specific issue or longer-term therapy to explore deeper patterns, I will work collaboratively with you to ensure therapy feels safe, supportive, and centred around your individual needs.
Taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting, but you do not have to face life's challenges alone. If you feel that I may be the right therapist for you, I would be pleased to support you on your journey towards greater understanding, healing, and personal growth.
