About me
I offer face to face, remote sessions (via Microsoft Teams) or phone calls to individuals over 16yrs old.
My approach is primarily based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), offering a structured, collaborative and evidence-based way of helping clients understand the links between their thoughts, emotions, behaviours and physical responses. Treatment is tailored to each individual's needs, goals and circumstances, ensuring therapy is relevant, practical and effective.
I work with a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem and trauma, helping clients develop practical tools and strategies they can use both during and beyond therapy. My focus is on empowering clients with skills that promote lasting change and improve overall wellbeing.
Alongside my CBT practice, I bring a holistic perspective, recognising the close connection between physical and mental health. My background in acute medical nursing has given me valuable insight into how health conditions and life experiences can impact emotional wellbeing.
I have also trained in person-centred and psychodynamic counselling, which enables me to draw on different therapeutic perspectives where appropriate. While CBT remains the foundation of my work, I can adapt my approach to ensure every client feels heard, supported and equipped with the confidence and skills to navigate life's challenges.
