About me

My approach as an Adolescent Psychotherapist is warm, supportive, and focused on what will help you feel better. I offer focused, short-term therapy tailored to what will be most helpful for you. I work flexibly, drawing on evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

I bring over 30 years of experience working within NHS mental health services, alongside 10 years in the USA specialising in mental health and addiction. My work has included supporting adults, young people, children, and families across a variety of settings.

Today's world presents many challenges that can significantly impact our emotional wellbeing, particularly during adolescence and early adulthood. Whilst I have a broad background, I have currently chosen to specialise in working with adolescents.

If you would like to come along for a chat, at no cost initially, you are very welcome to do so. This gives you the opportunity to meet with me, talk things through, and see whether you feel that we could work well together. I am also happy to work with you using a virtual forum such as Zoom if this is easier for you.
