About me

Miss Meara Dean is a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon based in Cambridge UK. She offers expert care in the diagnosis, investigation and treatment of a range of colorectal and general surgical conditions, providing evidence based and patient centred care.

Miss Dean has a subspecialty interest minimally invasive surgery for colorectal cancer. She is Cancer Lead for North West Anglia Trust and a member of the Cancer Subcommittee of the Association of Coloproctology Great Britain and Ireland. She has conducted scientific research that investigated the mechanisms of cancer development and spread, and surgical techniques that may reduce cancer recurrence.

Miss Dean completed advanced surgical training at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, The Royal Marsden Hospital, London and the Cleveland Clinic Ohio, USA. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (England)
