About me
Here's a version that reads more like a concise Bupa counsellor profile while retaining your warmth and experience:
I am an accredited counsellor and clinical supervisor with over 30 years' experience supporting young people and adults across a wide range of settings. I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling, am an Accredited Member of the BACP (MBACP Accred), and am a certified online and telephone counsellor.
I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, addiction, eating distress, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, domestic abuse, sexual violence, childhood abuse, family and relationship difficulties, work-related stress, and major life transitions.
My approach is integrative and person-centred, drawing on additional training in trauma and attachment. I provide a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where clients feel heard, respected and supported. Together, we work to develop insight, strengthen resilience, and find practical ways to move forward.
I offer face-to-face, online and telephone appointments, providing both short-term counselling for specific concerns and longer-term therapy for more complex or enduring difficulties.
Areas of interest
I work with young adults (16 plus) and adults; I run an inclusive practice; neurodivergence; anxiety; depression; trauma; bereavement; addiction; eating distress; self-harm; suicidal thoughts; domestic abuse; sexual violence; pre-trial therapy; childhood abuse; family and relationship difficulties; work-related stress; and major life transitions including menopause and children leaving home
