About me

I believe the most important thing about choosing a counsellor is the relationship between you. If you can work together well, you will experience change. That's why I offer a free 30 minute, no obligation call with prospective patients to find out more about each other and ways of working. I will happily offer advice on looking for alternatives if I do not think my skills and your needs are a good fit.

I worked in Marketing and Talent Management for over 20 years during which time I trained as a coach as well as a therapist to really get to the bottom of what was getting people stuck in the here and now world. More and more it became clear that issues from the past were showing up in present (seemingly unrelated) behaviours and thoughts.

In 2019, I became a full time therapist working in talking therapy (gestalt) with a focus on here and now thinking and creative solutions to really get to the heart of the issue and, importantly, make changes. I tend to focus on solutions (due to my coaching background) and recently have trained in EMDR as it can create very powerful changes and reveal unconscious thoughts and memories that talking alone cannot reach. You cannot change what you do not know.
