About me

I specialise in working at depth with individuals, aiming to understand the whole person, rather than focussing solely on symptoms. I offer a calm and thoughtful space for people who may be experiencing emotional difficulties, feeling stuck, or finding things hard to make sense of on their own.

My work is informed by a psychodynamic understanding of how emotional difficulties develop and are maintained over time. I am particularly interested in unconscious processes - the thoughts, feelings, and relational patterns that sit outside of immediate awareness yet shape how we experience ourselves and others.

This often involves thinking about how earlier relational experiences can continue to influence current ways of relating, particularly where people notice themselves repeating patterns that feel confusing, overwhelming, or difficult to change.

Alongside my psychodynamic work, I am trained in using Mentalisation Based Therapy. I draw on MBT throughout my work to support the capacity to reflect on thoughts and feelings - both one's own and those of others, especially in moments where emotions feel intense or relationships feel difficult to navigate.

A central part of my approach is attention to the therapeutic relationship itself. Rather than being separate from the work, it can become a space where familiar relational patterns emerge in real time, allowing them to be understood and worked through within the therapy.
