About me

I am a HCPC Registered Clinical Psychologist who has extensive experience of working
with children, young people, and families. I am extremely committed to helping families understand difficulties and overcome adversity. I am passionate about
strengthening family resilience and relationships, working from the position that we are all
doing our best in the moments that we are in.
As well as specialising in working with children
and families impacted by developmental trauma and attachment difficulties, I have expertise in supporting children and young
people with mental health difficulties.
I started my career working in research (at both Exeter and Oxford Universities), with a focus on depression, post-natal
depression, and child development. Prior to and during clinical training at Oxford University
I have worked in many different child and adult mental health services, and therefore have a
range of experience working with different difficulties, such as anxiety and depression.
I also have experience of delivering training and consultation to professionals, including the education system,
social care, local authorities and healthcare.

Areas of interest

I currently work with young children, adolescence, and young adults (ages 0 - 21). I also work with parents focused on therapeutic parenting and supporting them with the difficulties their child/family might be facing.
I have achieved intermediate status in Theraplay and am engaged in ongoing training in
Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy. I
hold a post-graduate diploma in evidenced based cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), with extensive experience of common mental health difficulties, such as anxiety, depression, OCD, including complexity such as neurodivergence, physical health conditions. I also have experience and training in other
approaches, including Non-violence resistance and sensorimotor systems support.
