About me

I am BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and EMDR practitioner based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, working with adults in Tring, Berkhamsted, St Albans and surrounding areas, as well as offering online therapy across the UK.

I specialise in supporting people experiencing:

Generalised anxiety disorder (GAD)
Panic attacks and health anxiety
Social anxiety
OCD and intrusive thoughts
Trauma and PTSD (including childhood cPTSD)
Low self-esteem and perfectionism
Perinatal anxiety, birth trauma and infertility
LGBTQIA+ related challenges and identity exploration

My Approach

I integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and EMDR therapy to provide structured, evidence-based treatment that goes beyond coping strategies.

CBT helps us identify patterns in thinking and behaviour that maintain anxiety and low mood. EMDR can help painful memories lose their grip, so you're no longer ambushed by them in daily life.

Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate and goal-oriented. We work at a pace that feels manageable, with clear direction and measurable progress. My approach is trauma informed, as we try to build an understanding together what coping mechanisms, trauma responses and patterns served you in the past but might be getting in the way in the present. Once we have a good understanding of these, we can then start thinking together on how we can start to live your most authentic and content life, feeling more confident in experiencing all emotions and having new tools to choose actions based on your values rather than anxieties.
