About me

My career in medicine started in India in 1984. I finished MBBS and soon decided to pursue a career in Orthopaedic surgery. I got into the resident programme and successfully completed a Thesis on ‘Cartilage healing’ and was awarded the Masters degree in Orthopaedics. Following a short stint as a Lecturer in a University medical school, I decided to broaden my experience and came over to England in 1994.
My extensive training in England has taken me to centres of excellence in Sheffield, Leicester and London.
On the way I was awarded the MCh (Orth) degree in 1998 from the University of Liverpool, the FRCS in 2002 followed by the Fellowship of the Intercollegiate board for Trauma and Orthopaedics, FRCS (Tr & Orth), in 2003.
I joined the faculty in Barnet and Chase Farm NHS Trust in 2004 as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. I have been in post for more than 12 years and have gained extensive experience in my field of expertise.

I strive to provide a state of the art foot and ankle service in the NHS and the Private sector. My special interest includes Bunion surgery, all forms of forefoot deformities and forefoot neurological pain. I am an expert in ankle arthritis and its treatment. I specialise in adult flat feet and hind foot arthritis.
I am one of the few surgeons offering ankle replacement and toe joint replacements for arthritic pain. I also specialise in sports injuries of the lower limb. I offer key hole surgery for all sporting injuries of the knee and ankle. I am an expert in tendon injuries of the foot and ankle. I regularly deal with and operate on sports related injuries of the Achilles tendon, lateral ankle ligaments and peroneal tendons. My special interest is in all types of sport related fractures of the knee, leg, ankle and foot. I practice in North London both in the NHS and the private sector. I can be easily contacted through my secretary and the hospitals I work in.
I live in North London with my wife and my 2 boys have left home and are in University. I am an amateur chef and some of my dishes can be seen on my insta page Ortho_chef. I am a keen golfer and play in the picturesque Hadley Wood club and am ever eager to learn new skills from you to improve my game.
