About me
Mr Ravi Chekuri is a UK-trained Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon with extensive experience in the assessment and management of both adult and children with routine and complex spinal conditions. He completed his medical school and initial orthopaedic training in India before moving to the United Kingdom, where he undertook higher specialty training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery and was awarded a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). During his higher surgical training, he developed a subspecialty interest in spinal surgery.
Following completion of CCT, Mr Chekuri undertook two further specialist spinal fellowships. He completed a Complex Spine Fellowship at The Royal London Hospital and the prestigious Adult and Paediatric Spinal Deformity Fellowship at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore. He is trained in degenerative lumbar and cervical spine surgery, spinal deformity and scoliosis surgery, spinal navigation techniques, and lateral access lumbar surgery, with a particular interest in minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgery.
He holds full GMC specialist registration and practises in both NHS and private healthcare settings. His NHS practice is based at The Royal London Hospital, where he also holds the role of Clinical Governance Lead for Complex Spine Surgery.
Mr Chekuri provides comprehensive care encompassing both non-operative and operative management with a MDT approach, strong emphasis on patient safety, clear communication, and shared decision-making. In addition to his clinical practice, he is actively involved in clinical governance and quality improvement, contributing to patient safety initiatives, incident review, and service development to ensure the highest professional and ethical standards of care.
