About me

Dr Aaisha Saqib is a Consultant in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Medicine based at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals, London. She works within a tertiary referral centre and leads multidisciplinary clinics. Dr Saqib has extensive expertise in the management of diabetes, hormonal disorders, and conditions affecting the adrenal, pituitary, and thyroid glands. She also specialises in medical weight management using injectable therapies and in the use of diabetes technologies, including continuous glucose monitoring devices and Insulin pumps, to support and empower patient self-management. She has a particular interest in the optimisation of diabetes care before and during surgery.

Dr Aaisha Saqib is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. She is a committee member of the esteemed national organisation ABCD (The Association of British Clinical Diabetologists), an educational supervisor for resident doctors, and delivers regular lectures to multidisciplinary colleagues. Dr Aaisha Saqib has a broad portfolio in healthcare quality improvement. She has presented at national and international conferences and published her work in peer-reviewed journals. Her contributions to leadership and service development have been recognised with several awards, including the prestigious RCP Lily Leadership Award in 2021.
