Fionas postgraduate research focused on the experiences of family caregivers who care for children with developmental disabilities. Her doctoral research focused on the experiences of cyberbullying in adults with intellectual disabilities, with the hope of supporting the management of online risk while promoting online inclusion for people with disabilities. Consequently, Fiona is very experienced in working with both adults and children who find verbal communication challenging at times, and might prefer more creative ways of communicating such as through art, play and written work.
