About me

Hello, I am Dr Samuel Newton, I am a Clinical Psychologist & CBT Therapist. I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety disorders (including trauma/PTSD), as well as everyday emotional struggles that affect work, relationships or wellbeing. I welcome people with mild to moderate difficulties & others who have long-standing or complex mental health problems. They may feel overwhelmed, stuck, emotionally drained or unsure why previous support hasn't helped. They are seeking practical tools, deeper understanding, and effective therapy that is empathetic, psychologically evidence based and tailored to their individual needs.
My primary approach is CBT, including third-wave therapies such as ACT and Compassion Focused Therapy. However, as a Clinical Psychologist, I take a holistic view of mental health, integrating other therapeutic models where helpful. I offer structured, collaborative online therapy, adapted to both mildmoderate difficulties and more complex presentations.
Seeking therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you've been managing on your own or have tried therapy before. You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from support. If you're looking for thoughtful, professional therapy that meets you where you are, I encourage you to reach out and explore whether working together feels right.
