About me
I aim to provide a safe, supportive and reflective space that allows us to explore your life challenges and identify how we can work together to help you feel happier and more able to live your life to the full. As a registered psychotherapist with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, I draw on and integrate established person-centred and psychodynamic approaches, as well as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I am trained to deal with many issues affecting emotional wellbeing, but I have particular experience of helping clients to understand their feelings and meaningfully process how this affects their lives.
Our sessions together might mean thinking about how your life experiences can shed light on your life today and how you got to this point. My counselling approach values listening and is both compassionate and non-judgemental. You will have the space to reflect at your own pace and develop ways of coping, understanding relationships and moving forward.
Therapy is a professional relationship but it is also a human one. I cannot promise to fix everything, but I will empathise and support your life adjustments. My free introductory consultation offers a 20 to 30 mins opportunity to discuss what you want from therapy and your therapist, and to answer any questions or concerns that you may have.
