About me

Do you feel stuck, anxious or depressed? Is life challenging? I offer a space to look at what is going on in your life. I am an experienced relational, psychodynamic therapist and believe that being really heard and seen can be transformative for all of us.

I am calm and compassionate and bring curiosity and humour to my work. I will help you look at how your upbringing, narcissistic parents or past trauma are impacting you. Or you may wish to look at a current specific issue or relationship. I will help you identify ways of changing things, creating boundaries and resilience going forwards. I will work at your pace.

I am interested in exploring how the care that we received as a child, or lack of it (for example with narcissistic parents) impacts on us. I work increasingly with ADHD and neurodiversity in women and help with emotional regulation. I offer support alongside your journey with medication for depression/anxiety/ADHD.

I work from my peaceful therapy room in Alma Road, Clifton, Bristol BS8. I work mainly from a psychodynamic perspective, looking at how their past relationships and experiences have impacted on how they are now.

I also use creative techniques such as drawing, Gestalt chair work, writing, bodywork, if appropriate. I sometimes use tools from CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy).

I like to work with dreams and archetypes, and attend a monthly Jungian dream group. I try to see beyond what a client says and understand the real meaning for them in their life context.

Other Information About Me

I have worked in a university student counselling service, an agency for gambling addiction and a psychiatric ward.
