About me
I offer private dermatology consultations and treatments to adults and children. My dermatology training was at the Birmingham Skin Hospital, West Midlands and Southampton University Hospital, Hampshire. I was appointed Consultant Dermatologist in 1998 at the Medway Maritime NHS Foundation Trust, Kent. Together with 3 other consultants we offered consultant-led dermatology service to the whole of west Kent. I was instrumental in setting up the Melanoma Screening Clinic to fast track patients with suspected skin cancer (2 week wait pathway). In 2005 I joined the Basildon and Thurrock NHS Foundation Trust as the clinical lead for the dermatology service in Southend. Since 2015 I have been offering my service as a full time independent dermatologist in the private health sector.
I offer rapid access to diagnosis and treatment for all types of skin, hair and nail conditions with more than 25 years of experience. I run a busy dermatology practice in Kent and Essex, liaising with GP's, physicians, surgeons and pathologists for the benefit of my patients. I am keen on teaching and run regular workshops, lectures and tutorials for the GP's in the local area. Ages treated: adults and children of all ages.
I perform an average of 500 skin biopsies and excisions of moles and skin cancers every year.
My training in surgical dermatology has been extensive and throughout my career I have worked closely with plastic surgeons for the benefit of my patients with skin cancers. Between 2007 and 2010 I was lead for the skin cancer MDT(multidisciplinary team) for Basildon Hospital and dermatology representative on the Pan-Essex cancer network team.
I pledge to give my patients dermatology advice and treatment of the highest calibre in an honest, friendly environment.
