About me
I qualified as a Dietitian in 2004
I worked across NHS Glasgow for the first 6 years of my career covering a variety of post including, diabetes, heart health, weight management, nutrition support, allergy and intolerance, and IBS. I worked in both acute and community settings. I worked for Glasgow and Clyde Weight Management Service just before being recruited to work with the Military.
I then worked with the forces and their families in Cyprus for almost 8 years where I set up and managed the dietetic service. I was supervised by Guys and St Thomas London and provided supervision to junior dietitians. I led on all nutrition related projects such as a multi-disciplinary project such as Fit Camp and specialist services for paediatrics such as Cows milk protein allergy clinics. I represented Cyprus in LAND command meetings for nutrition and health promotion.
I came back to Glasgow in 2019 and worked initially as a community paediatric dietitian in RHC and then onto community in Glasgow. I am trained in adults and paediatrics, IBS first line and FODMAP Nutrition support, allergy IgE and Non Ige and I now work part time clinically covering general clinics, home enteral feeding and providing dietetic advice to some care homes. My other role is a Practice Development Dietitian in Digital, where I am responsible for social media engagement, writing and updating our website and providing guidance around digital engagement.
Over my 22 years career to date, I have gained experience in most fields of dietetics and remain passionate and dedicated to my career and to my patients
