About me
I am a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford, and run specialist hepatology clinics at Epsom and St Heliers NHS Trust in addition.
I qualified in London in 2004 from Guys, Kings and St Thomas', and completed my training in London with National sub-specialist training in Hepatology across transplant and ICU, in Kings and St Marys (Imperial), before moving to Guildford. I obtained my CCT in 2017 with triple accreditation across
Gastroenterology, Hepatology and General Internal Medicine. I started research in HPB medicine at Imperial, before moving to complete my PhD at the University of Surrey.
I have held senior roles as Chief of Service, and Head of Medicine and Emergency Services at the Royal Surrey from 2019 to 2022, leading the Trust to its first Outstanding CQC rating in Medicine, as well as a pivotal role in leading the Trusts COVID pandemic response.
I run Gastroenterology and Hepatology clinics, and look after patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease and General Gastroenterology. I perform upper and lower GI endoscopy studies.
I am a core member of the regional MDT (multidisciplinary team) in HPB cancer, with specialist clinics that I run in transplant and liver cancer in addition.
