About me

Mr Khaldoun Bitar is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip surgery, with particular expertise in hip resurfacing, hip replacement and revision hip surgery. He has over 20 years of clinical experience and is a high-volume joint replacement surgeon, with outcomes reported in the National Joint Registry.

A key focus of his practice is hip resurfacing, a bone-preserving alternative to total hip replacement that can be particularly suitable for younger or more active patients. He also specialises in day-case and rapid-recovery hip replacement, using modern surgical techniques and enhanced recovery pathways to help suitable patients return home safely on the same day as surgery.
