About me
I am a Consultant General and Endocrine Surgeon at University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, a major teaching and tertiary referral centre. I manage patients referred from all across Wales for specialist endocrine surgery. I completed higher general surgical training in Wales and received specialist endocrine training in Cardiff, with fellowships in Oxford and Lille (France), training with internationally recognised leaders in endocrine surgery.
I specialise in high-volume, minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery for common general surgical conditions, including gallbladder disease and hernia repair, alongside a dedicated high volume endocrine surgery practice covering all aspects of thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal conditions.
I aim to create a consultation and surgical experience that feels clear, supportive, and focused on your needs, helping you feel fully informed while receiving expert, personalised care.
I have published widely in peer-reviewed journals, delivered presentations at national and international conferences, written multiple chapters for surgical textbooks, and am actively involved in surgical education and training. My research focuses on surgical outcomes, surgical quality improvement, and endocrine cancer care, ensuring that my clinical practice reflects the latest evidence and highest standards.
Areas of interest
