Research interests

Inherited cardiac conditions and cardiomyopathies; differentiation of physiological cardiac adaptation in athletes from cardiomyopathy; cardiovascular screening and prevention of sudden cardiac death; advanced cardiac imaging including cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR); and the role of exercise and lifestyle factors in cardiovascular health and disease

Personal interests

Dr Marwaha has a longstanding interest in sports and wellbeing, and has been involved in medical support at major sporting events including the London Marathon and international cricket fixtures at Lord’s. She is also interested in holistic approaches to health, including yoga and lifestyle practices that support cardiovascular wellbeing

Courses offered to GPs

Dr Marwaha offers educational talks and seminars for GPs on cardiovascular topics including the assessment of palpitations and unexplained cardiac symptoms, cardiovascular screening and prevention of sudden cardiac death, inherited cardiac conditions and cardiomyopathies, sports cardiology, and the role of advanced cardiac imaging in diagnosis and risk assessment. Sessions aim to support primary care clinicians in recognising, investigating, and referring patients with potential cardiac disease.
