About me

I am a Counselling Psychologist, EMDR therapist and Occupational Psychologist (registered with the BPS and HCPC). My work is grounded in a relational psychodynamic approach, exploring how early relationships shape the way we view ourselves and others, with openness to what is outside our conscious awareness. However as an integrative practitioner, I tailor therapy to each client's needs, drawing on modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), CBT, Compassion Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. I seek a natural and authentic relationship with clients, to help this journey of self-exploration feel as safe and nurturing as possible.

My organisational psychology background allows me to draw on a different strand of expertise to support work-related mental health, for example imposter syndrome, dealing with redundancy, bullying and job dissatisfaction. My doctoral thesis explored the differentiating triggers of emotion dysregulation in autism and borderline personality disorder, for the purposes of addressing the under-identification of autism amongst women. I have a professional interest in this area, developed through clinical work with neurodiverse clients and adult assessments for dyslexia, dyspraxia, and dyscalculia. I use this expertise to support neurodiverse clients navigating environments designed for neurotypical minds.
