About me

Dr. Monica Gupta is a highly experienced General Paediatrician with over 30 years of service within the NHS. Specialising in Lifestyle Medicine and Dietary Health, she is deeply committed to fostering holistic and preventative care for children and adolescents. Dr. Gupta combines her expertise in general paediatrics with a focus on adolescent mental health, paediatric nephrology, and ambulatory medicine.

A Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, Dr. Gupta is also a member of the Society of Lifestyle Medicine and serves on the Food and Health Council at the Royal Society of Medicine. She trained at leading teaching hospitals in London, Kent, and Surrey and undertook clinical electives in Hong Kong and India, gaining a global perspective on paediatric care.

As an advocate for preventative and lifestyle medicine, Dr Gupta focuses on the influence of environmental factors on children's health. She collaborates with families to address modern challenges such as excessive screen time, social media use, reduced movement, dietary habits factors, that contribute to long-term physical and mental health issues. Through structured coaching sessions integrated with conventional medicine, she empowers families to implement positive changes that foster healthier futures.

Dr Gupta's clinical expertise covers a wide spectrum of paediatric concerns, including faltering growth, picky eating, constipation, abdominal pain, headaches, food intolerances, reflux, bedwetting, and recurrent urinary tract infections. Her approach prioritises keeping children out of hospital by promoting proactive health measures and equipping families with essential knowledge.
