About me
Dr Ralph Rogers is a Consultant in Regenerative Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, based in London, with more than 30 years of clinical, academic, and leadership experience in musculoskeletal and sports medicine.
Dr Rogers practises non-surgical orthopaedic and musculoskeletal medicine, providing assessment and treatment for both elite athletes and the general population. His clinical work focuses on evidence-based care aimed at reducing pain, restoring function, and supporting long-term musculoskeletal health. His practice integrates careful diagnosis, image-guided interventions, and multidisciplinary management where appropriate.
He is actively involved in the delivery and oversight of specialist musculoskeletal services within London's private healthcare sector, including leadership roles within clinic settings. His work in elite sport, including advisory roles with organisations such as the National Basketball Association (NBA) and Chelsea Football Club, informs his clinical expertise but does not form the basis of insured services unless specifically contracted.
Education and Training
Dr Rogers received his MD degree from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, before undertaking further postgraduate training and clinical practice in Europe. He was subsequently awarded a competitive scholarship to complete a PhD in Exercise Physiology at the University of Maryland (USA), where his doctoral research focused on cardiorespiratory and exercise physiology.
He completed post-doctoral training in Sports Medicine at the Free University of Brussels and later obtained an MBA from the University of Leicester. He also holds a Master of Science degree from Bournemouth University, with postgraduate training in musculoskeletal imaging and injection techniques.
