About me
I am a specialist Child and Young Person's CBT Therapist providing face-to-face appointments in Chichester and online.
Using a friendly and creative approach, I adapt sessions to suit the young person's needs whilst adhering to a research-tested framework which provides both structure and flexibility.
I provide neuro-affirming CBT - this includes using visual aids and concrete language to make concepts clear, providing extra processing time, and creating a sensory-friendly space where movement and fidget tools are welcomed. I love incorporating a young person's special interests into our work, ensuring therapy feels collaborative, engaging, and supportive.
Working on the objectives of the young person, we explore current thoughts, feelings and behaviours which may be maintaining symptoms and find ways of breaking these vicious cycles to achieve goals.
I lead with evidence-based CBT to help children and young people navigate anxiety and depression. While CBT is my foundation, I believe in a holistic approach; I weave in mindfulness and acceptance strategies (ACT) to help the young people build resilience and stay grounded in the present moment.
I am fully accredited with the BABCP and have an enhanced DBS certificate.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
