About me
I qualified in 1986 from India and moved to UK to pursue my post –graduate career. I completed my specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with a special interest in Advanced Obstetric and Gynaecological Ultrasound in the West-Midlands Deanery. I was appointed as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in South Warwickshire NHS Trust in 2000.
2001- 2003 - I was the Lead Clinician for Labour ward during which time the unit gained CNST level 2 status.
2003 – 2006 - I was appointed the Clinical lead for ‘Women and Children’s’ Directorate. During this time I was involved in the regional Acute Services Review and successfully defended the retention of Maternity and Paediatric Services in South Warwickshire General Hospital,
2007-2011 – I became the Associate Medical Director for Education and Training with roles of a Clinical Tutor and Foundation Programme Training Director. During this time I led in embedding the MMC (Modernising Medical Careers), in the Trust along with leading and implementing the Hospital at Night in the Trust in compliance with EWTD 2009
2011 to date - I am the Associate Medical Director for Emergency Division and Deputy Medical Director, and led on implementing 7 day working along the Emergency pathways and helping reducing the Hospital mortality rate. Between September and December 2013 I acted up as the Medical Director of the Trust.
