About me

Mr Abdallah Sharqawi is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Royal Bolton Hospital and Urology Cancer Lead, with specialist expertise in benign prostate enlargement, HoLEP and minimally invasive treatments for BPH, urethral reconstruction and general urology.

He has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of men with urinary symptoms and enlarged prostate, offering a range of treatment options tailored to the individual patient, including HoLEP laser surgery, Rez?m, UroLift and other minimally invasive treatments.

He also has a specialist interest in urethral stricture disease and reconstructive urology, including urethroplasty and other treatments for complex and recurrent urethral strictures.

His wider practice includes investigation of raised PSA, prostate cancer diagnosis, haematuria, urinary tract infections, urinary retention, bladder conditions, scrotal and penile conditions, erectile dysfunction and general urological problems.

Mr Sharqawi is actively involved in training urologists and is faculty on national urology courses. His approach is focused on clear explanation, shared decision-making and providing patients with treatment options appropriate to their individual needs.
