About me

Hi, I'm Zaynab. It's really lovely to see you here. With nearly 20 years of experience in mental health, including a decade in the NHS. I bring both clinical expertise and personal insight into the therapy space. I'm fully accredited and deeply committed to delivering therapy that's thoughtful, compassionate, and culturally aware. I've supported individuals facing a wide range of difficulties, including OCD, Generalised Anxiety, PTSD, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety and specific phobias. I have special interests in: low self-esteem, trauma, and health anxiety. My approach is evidence-based and tailored to you as a whole.

I've presented at the UK's leading British Psychological Society, sharing research on self-esteem, stress, and self-belief. My academic work also explores how identity, spirituality, and meaning influence well-being. I co-founded Nurture & Bloom Talking Therapy because I saw how therapy was becoming rushed and impersonal. It didn't sit right with me.

Therapy should be human, relational and centred around you. The backbone to my work and all that I do is making sure YOU feel:

Seen

Heard

Not judged

Your experiences validated

You are the expert in your life. I bring the tools of CBT. Together, we'll work towards meaningful, lasting change, with care, curiosity, and respect for your journey.

Because therapy often involves vulnerability, I believe it's important that you also have a sense of who I am outside the therapy room. I enjoy spending time in nature, watching theatre productions, comedy shows and hosting dinner parties. I have a 7 year old cat called Nutmeg, my little shadow. Meaningful conversations with loved ones are especially important to me. They remind me of the value of connection, something I also bring into my therapeutic work.
