About me

I am an experienced Integrative Counsellor with over twenty years' experience working with adults from a wide range of backgrounds across various settings. I work in an integrative and flexible way, tailoring therapy to suit each client's individual needs, circumstances, and goals.

I support people experiencing a broad range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, and bereavement. I have a particular specialism in working with trauma, loss, and anxiety-related issues. I offer a safe, caring, and confidential space where clients can explore life's challenges and the issues affecting their emotional well-being.

My approach is emphatic, collaborative, and client-centered. I work alongside you to help build understanding, resilience, and positive change at a pace that feels right for you. As an integrative practitioner, I am trained in a range of therapeutic theories and techniques, enabling me to adapt my approach to best support your individual needs.

I enjoy working creatively and find this can be a helpful way of exploring both internal and external experiences. This may include gaining insight into patterns of thinking, roles we take on in relationships, and the ways we have adapted to cope with difficult life experiences. Developing self-awareness can create opportunities for growth, change, and a renewed sense of hope.

I value supporting clients to better understand themselves and their relationships, explore emotions and life experiences, move away from unhelpful thought patterns or coping strategies, and develop new perspectives that are aligned with their values, personality, and stage of life. I am also comfortable exploring issues of faith and spirituality where this is important to the client.

I hold a degree in Counselling and am professionally accredited with the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC). I am also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Sessions are available face-to-face, online, or by telephone. I offer a free 20-minute initial telephone consultation to allow you to ask questions, learn more about how I work, and decide whether my approach feels right for you.
