About me
I am a private Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) working with adults experiencing a range of mental health difficulties. I specialise in evidence-based CBT, using structured and collaborative approaches to help people understand and change unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour, leading to improvements in emotional wellbeing.
I have experience supporting individuals with depression, anxiety disorders, and difficulties associated with long-term health conditions. My work focuses on helping clients develop practical coping strategies, build confidence in managing their symptoms, and work towards meaningful and sustainable change.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and goal-focused. Therapy is tailored to each individual's needs, and sessions provide a safe, supportive space to explore difficulties while working actively towards agreed goals. I aim to work at a pace that feels manageable and respectful for each client.
In addition to this, I am committed to delivering high-quality, ethical care and value clear communication. Where appropriate and with consent, I am happy to liaise with GPs or other healthcare professionals to support continuity of care.
I offer a free 20-minute initial consultation, providing an opportunity to discuss your concerns, ask questions, and decide whether CBT and working together would be right for you.
Areas of interest
I work with adults aged 18 and over who are experiencing a range of mental health difficulties. I provide CBT for individuals presenting with depression, anxiety disorders (including generalised anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, and health anxiety), stress, low self-esteem, and adjustment difficulties.
I also have experience supporting individuals living with long-term health conditions, where psychological factors may impact emotional wellbeing and daily functioning.
Within CBT, I use evidence-based interventions including assessment and formulation, psychoeducation, behavioural activation, cognitive restructuring, exposure-based techniques, problem-solving, relapse prevention, and skills development to support symptom management and recovery.
