About me
I am a senior Consultant in Dermatology with more than 25 years of clinical experience in managing patients with dermatologic and skin related disease. Most of this time was predominantly in academic hospital departments. I am on the UK General Medical Council (GMC) and Irish Medical Council Specialist Registers.
I am a South African trained, dual accredited (MMed+MCP) dermatologist with expertise in both complex medical and advanced surgical management of patients across the entire age spectrum but have stopped seeing pre- and early teens to reduce my mandatory registration and clinical update requirements while we have excellent colleagues who sub-specialise in this arena. I have taken an NHS clinical career break while working in the charity and private sector but remain involved through various committees and national activities supporting Secondary and Primary Care sector. Time has been freed up to concentrate on research interests into teledermatology and AI support tools to improve access and processes.
