About me
After completing a specialist training in respiratory medicine in Oxford and Southampton deaneries I was appointed as a consultant in Respiratory and General Medicine in 2003. Over the years I have developed several innovative services in respiratory medicine at Hampshire Hospital Foundation Trust, and I was the clinical lead of the respiratory department for many years.
I have a particular interest in COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis, cough, interstitial lung disease, and lung cancer. My research in asthma led to an award of Doctor of Medicine.I have published and presented numerous papers at national and International level.
I am a member of the British Thoracic society, European Respiratory Society and the Royal College of Physicians. I am involved in the respiratory training and the education programme in Wessex deanery. I am a recognised trainer and examiner for post graduate Doctors
Outside medicine I enjoy watching cricket test matches, international rugby and football premier league, I am a great fan of Liverpool football team. I also enjoy cooking, gardening, travel, and listening to Jazz.
