About me

Mr Akshdeep Bawa is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in foot and ankle surgery, with expertise in sports injuries, trauma, complex reconstructions, and diabetic feet. He trained at premier UK institutions, including the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, and St George's University Hospital, London.

In 2017, he completed a *Travelling Fellowship in Sports Surgery* at Tohoku University Hospital, Sendai, Japan, under Professor Minoru Tanaka, gaining advanced exposure to sports medicine and arthroscopic techniques.

An active leader in national orthopaedics, Mr. Bawa serves as a *Council Member of the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA)* and has contributed to landmark national audits including *BOOM, FATE, and FALCON*. He is passionate about surgical education and quality improvement, teaching trainees across the East of England.

He has authored peer-reviewed publications, edited key surgical texts � including _Churchill's Pocketbook of Surgery_ and _Introduction to FRCS T&O_ � and was nominated for *Trainer of the Year (East of England, 2023/24 and 2024/25).
